LUCENA CITY — Two were killed and another one was injured in a hacking incident on Sunday night in Laurel town in Batangas province.
The Batangas police reported Monday that Bonnie Abindanio, 48, armed with a bolo, entered the house of Jovencio Magsino in Barangay Molinete around 7:20 p.m.
Once inside, Abindanio hacked Magsino, Rodela Cajila, and a 15-year-old girl.
Magsino died on the spot while Cajila and the girl, who sustained serious wounds, were rushed to Dr. Ernesto Malabanan Memorial Hospital in Laurel.
Cajila died an hour later while undergoing treatment in another hospital in neighboring Talisay town.
In a follow-up operation, Abindanio was arrested in a mountainous area in the village of As-Is, also in Laurel. INQ
