TACLOBAN CITY – A 4.1 magnitude earthquake shook parts of Leyte province on Monday, June 27.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the quake was tectonic in origin with the town of Villaba as the epicenter.
No damage and aftershocks were reported.
The 9:39 a.m. quake was felt in Calubian town at Intensity 4; Intensity 2 at Kananga, Ormoc City, and Naval in Biliran; and Intensity 1 in Carigara, Leyte.
