LUCENA CITY—A jealous husband in Antipolo City on Sunday shot his wife, police said.

In a report Monday, the Police Regional Office 4A said Edwardson Vitor, armed with a 9mm-caliber handgun, around 11 a.m. shot his wife, Genaline, in Barangay Cupang.

The victim was hit in her chest and was rushed to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina City.

The report said Genaline survived the shooting and remained confined for further treatment.

Police arrested Vitor and recovered the firearm loaded with two more bullets.
