Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said the LPA may either form near Eastern Visayas or the Caraga region.

FEATURED STORIES

“Yung unang scenario natin, possible na may mabuo na low pressure area as early as Monday dito po malapit sa Eastern Visayas. And then from Monday and Tuesday, tatawirin ang silangang parte ng Pilipinas papunta sa eastern part of Luzon. Pagsapit naman ng Martes, ay tatawirin ang Southern Luzon ng nasabing low pressure area, na possible din mag-enhance ng habagat sa Luzon, Visayas at western part of Mindanao,” Estareja said.

(There is a possibility that a low pressure area may form as early as Monday. And then from Monday to Tuesday, it will cross the eastern parts of the country. On Tuesday, the said low pressure area may cross Southern Luzon, which could also enhance the southwest Monsoon in Luzon, Visayas and Western part of Mindanao.)

“Yung ikalawa naman pong scenario, possible uli na may mabuong na circulation or low pressure area malapit sa Eastern Visayas or Caraga region sa Lunes. Lunes hanggang Martes ay possibleng tumawid itong nasabing circulation patungo dito sa Visayas hanggang makarating po ng Mimaropa pagsapit ng Martes at inaasahan ding magpa-ulan sa Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” he added.

(It is also possible that the LPA may form near EasternVisayas and Caraga on Monday. Then from Monday to Tuesday, there is a possibility the said circulation may cross Visayas and Minaropa on Tuesday. It may also bring rains in Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.)

Saturday weather

Estareja said the easterlies or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean is the current dominant weather system on Saturday.

The easterlies bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Davao Region, Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur.

Pagasa did not raise any gale warning over the country’s seaboards.
