CITY OF CALAPAN—Eighty-one alleged members and supporters of the New People’s Army surrendered from Jan. 1 to June 23 to Mimaropa police through the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), police said.

The latest surrenderer was “Ka Ermon, 28, a former member of the NPA’s Bienvenido Vallever Command, according to the Mimaropa police.

He surrendered on June 23 to the 2nd Palawan Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd Palawan PMFC) in Barangay San Nicolas, Roxas town, Palawan province.

Ka Ermon also turned in a .38-caliber revolver pistol. He is under the custody of the 2nd Palawan PMFC for debriefing before his enrolment in the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program. INQ
