MANILA, Philippines — Nine individuals facing murder and other charges have been arrested in the latest round of anti-criminality law enforcement operations in Siasi town of Sulu, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.
According to PNP’s Public Information Office (PNP-PIO), the following individuals were arrested in Siasi’s Barangay Tulling:
- Abdurahman Iskan Aburan
- Gabir Iskan Abdurakman
- Erancis Iskan Abdurakman
- Kerwin Iskan Abdurakman
- Denis Iskan Abdurakman
- Ferdinand Iskan Abdurakman
- Rhidzwin Iskan Abdurakman
- Ibsal Elol Ibba
- Aljhon Baladji Ismael
No details have been given as to what specific incident they were charged for, but the PNP-PIO said that the nine individuals are also wanted for frustrated murder and attempted murder raps.
PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao said that the operation, which was done with the joint efforts of the Siasi Municipal Police Station and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Sulu Police Provincial Office, was done without any resistance from the suspects.
