Chinese ships spotted in Japan waters near Cape Inubosaki
TOKYO — Three Chinese naval vessels, including two guided-missile destroyers, have been detected sailing southwest in Pacific waters about 220 kilometers southeast of Chiba’s Cape Inubosaki, the Japanese Defense Ministry said Monday.
The three Chinese vessels passed through the Tsushima Strait off Kyushu on June 12 and 13, the ministry said. Then the two guided-missile destroyers sailed eastward through the Soya Strait on June 16 and 17, while a naval supply ship headed east through the Tsugaru Strait on June 16, before meeting in the Pacific and sailing southward.
