Ex-PCGG acting chair Munsayac to serve as Sara Duterte’s spox
MANILA, Philippines — Former acting chairman of the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) Reynold Munsayac will serve as the new spokesperson of Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio beginning June 21, the latter’s office announced Tuesday.
Munsayac will replace Liloan, Cebu Mayor Christina Frasco, who has accepted the Department of Tourism portfolio under the administration of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Munsayac and Duterte-Carpio were classmates in law school at the San Sebastian College of Law. Munsayac graduated class valedictorian in 2005.
In 2016, Munsayac was designated commissioner and acting chairman of the PCGG, and remained in the post until he resigned in 2021 “to help campaign for Inday Sara.”
It was also Munsayac who filed the certificate of candidacy of Duterte-Carpio for vice president in November 2021.

“She was committed to the truthful dissemination of information, and her duty as the spokesperson was marked with intelligence and grace,” she said of Frasco.
“Inday Sara wishes the incoming Secretary of the Department of Tourism Frasco all the best in her new role in nation-building,” Duterte-Carpio’s office further said.
