MANILA, Philippines — Expect generally fair weather with rain caused by thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening throughout the country on Tuesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The fair weather in Luzon was still caused by the ridge of high pressure, according to Pagasa senior weather specialist Chris Perez.

“Bukas, generally maaliwalas ang panahon sa buong Luzon, pero may tiyansa rin ng mga isolated thunderstorm lalo na sa dakong hapon at gabi,” said Perez.

(Tomorrow the weather will be generally clear throughout Luzon, but there is also a chance of isolated thunderstorms especially in the afternoon and evening.)

The same weather conditions — albeit with hotter and more humid daytime temperatures — will also prevail in Visayas and Mindanao together with the chances of rain due to thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Perez also said that no gale warning was raised by Pagasa over the country’s seaboards as only slight to moderate sea conditions are expected throughout the country’s surrounding coasts.
