Active COVID-19 cases in Pampanga's capital city slightly up

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—The City of San Fernando has registered eight new COVID-19 cases from Friday to Sunday (June 17 to June 19), bringing its active cases to 15, data from the local health office showed.

A resident from Alasas village and another from Telabastagan contracted on Friday the viral disease. The next day, two residents from Telabastagan, one from Calulut and another from Dela Paz Norte, were diagnosed with COVID-19.

On Sunday, two residents of Del Pilar village also contracted the disease.

As of Monday, June 20, Telabastagan has the highest number of active cases at five, followed by Calulut (3) and Del Pilar (2). The villages of Alasas, Del Rosario, Dela Paz, Panipuan, and San Pedro have one case each.

The capital city has recorded 14,343 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of these, 13,987 had recovered, while 341 had died.
