Minimum wage earners in 7 more regions to get pay hike this June, says DOLE

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Wednesday said minimum wage earners in seven regions of the country will receive salary increases this June in a bid to help them cope with the impact of soaring prices of goods and petroleum products.

According to the DOLE, wage orders issued by Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards in Bicol, Northern Mindanao, Davao, Central Luzon, Zamboanga Peninsula, Eastern Visayas, and Calabarzon have already been approved by the National Wages and Productivity Commission.

Specifically, the minimum pay adjustment will take effect on the following schedule:

As for adjustment in the salary of minimum wage workers in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the DOLE had said it would be up to the administrators of the autonomous government.
