BACOLOD CITY — A businessman on board a sports utility vehicle (SUV) was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assassins at the intersection of BS Aquino Drive and Lacson Street in Barangay 5, Bacolod City on Tuesday afternoon.

Jeffrey Espeleta Keng Seng, 40, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds on his body, police said.

Keng Seng was on board his Nissan Patrol SUV going west when at 12:30 p.m., June 14, gunmen on board two motorcycles shot him, said Lt. Jovito Pastrana, Police Station 2 deputy chief.

The victim managed to drive westward until his vehicle crashed into a vacant lot at the intersection of BS Aquino Drive and Gatuslao Street in Barangay 3.

A witness said one of the gunmen on board a motorcycle approached the vehicle located about 100 meters from Police Station 2 and finished off the victim.

Pastrana said the killing maybe due to a property dispute within the victim’s family although investigators were considering other motives.
