Man found dead in canal in Isabela province
SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela province — The body of a 35-year-old man was found in a canal at Barangay Baluarte in this city on Sunday (June 12), police said.
Investigators identified the man as Edmundo Rivera, a resident of Barangay San Isidro in Diffun town, Quirino province.
Police responded to the site after a truck helper saw the body and reported the incident to the Baluarte patrol base.

The victim’s partner, May Ponce Costales, said Rivera had been suffering from depression since April last year due to recurring family and financial problems.
