P3.4M worth ‘shabu’ seized in Albay buy-bust

LEGAZPI CITY—Anti-narcotics operatives arrested two suspected drug traders and seized P3.4 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation Friday in Guinobatan town in Albay province.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Bicol said in a report that it arrested at 1:10 a.m. Yurie Pavia, 39, and a minor during an operation in Barangay Inamnan Grande.


The report said authorities recovered two knot-tied plastic bags and a sachet containing shabu weighing 500 grams, aluminum foil, an improvised tooter, and other drug tools.

Authorities turned over the minor to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, PDEA said.
