Makati targets high-impact projects, better economy
MANILA, Philippines—Makati Mayor Abby Binay on Thursday (June 10) convened the Makati Business Development Council (MBDC) to collaborate on long-term and high-impact strategies for the city’s economic recovery and growth.
“As we reconvene, we are tasked with facing the challenges of recovery and renewal in the coming years,” said Binay, who heads the council, in a press release.
“The MBDC will be playing a critical role in providing advice and guidance on programs and initiatives that will help businesses in Makati to restart, rebuild, and grow,” said Binay.
She added that MBDC aims to map out competitive industries in Makati, then form a plan to nurture the environment in which these businesses operate.
In line with this objective, Makati Business Club chairman Edgar Chua also vowed that MBDC will work closely with the local government as it ventures into financial technology for its city development plan.
