MANILA, Philippines — Free rides will be offered at select times at the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) on June 12 as the country celebrates Independence Day, the LRT Authority (LRTA) announced Friday.
The LRTA said free rides will be available in all LRT-2 stations on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“Sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan sa ika-12 ng Hunyo 2022 (Linggo), magbibigay ng libreng sakay ang LRT-2,” the LRTA said in a tweet.
(In celebration of Independence Day on June 12, Sunday, the LRT-2 will offer free rides to commuters.)
MAGANDANG BALITA: Sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan sa ika-12 ng Hunyo 2022 (Linggo), magbibigay ng libreng sakay ang LRT-2 para sa lahat ng pasahero nito sa mga sumusunod na oras:
•7:00AM to 9:00AM
•5PM to 7:00PM

The LRT management has long been implementing this tradition of providing free rides during Independence Day and on other holidays.
