Tarlac logs 11 new COVID-19 cases in a week
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Eleven new COVID-19 cases were registered in Tarlac province from May 31 to June 6, data from the Central Luzon Center for Health Development (CLCHD) showed.
The regional agency’s epidemiology and surveillance unit said Tarlac has 35 active cases as of Monday, June 6.
Data from the CHLHD also showed that Tarlac had 29,001 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Of this figure, 28,363 had recovered while 603 had died.
Tarlac has a case fatality rate (CFR) of 2.08 percent.
CFR is the proportion of individuals who died from a particular disease among all those diagnosed with it.
Article continues after this advertisementOf the provinces and highly urbanized cities in Central Luzon, Aurora has the highest CFR at 5.24, followed by Zambales (4.02), Nueva Ecija (2.48), Pampanga (2.23), Tarlac (2.08), Olongapo City (2.05), Angeles City (1.61), Bulacan (1.26), and Bataan (1.25).
