MANILA, Philippines — Two days after the Bulusan Volcano in Sorsogon erupted, President Rodrigo Duterte is yet to visit the affected residents.
In a Palace briefing, acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar was asked if Duterte is planning to visit the victims.
(Let us wait for the advisory to be released by Usec. Mia of Maro and while we are waiting, we can ask our other contact persons, perhaps in the Office of the President.)
Bulusan Volcano was placed under Alert Level 1 after it had a 17-minute phreatic eruption on the morning of June 5.
The Palace assured that government agencies are on standby 24/7 for assistance.
Vice President Leni Robredo, on the other hand, has started relief operations for the affected areas.
