2,400 doses of Pfizer-made COVID-19 vaccine for kids arrive in PH

MANILA, Philippines — The country has received 2,400 doses of COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer for the pediatric population.

The vaccine doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the National Task Force Against COVID-19, the vaccine doses were procured by the government through a loan from the World Bank.

Including the latest additional anti-COVID shots, the country now received a total of 245,233,560 doses since vaccine arrival began in February 2021. Around 150 million of which were already administered.

As of May 30, around 69.3 million individuals in the country were already fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

But only 14.1 million of the sum got their booster dose.
