SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Three COVID-19 patients in this province have recovered from the viral disease, bringing down to nine its active infections, local data showed Sunday, May 29.
According to the Provincial Health Office, the recoveries were recorded in the towns of Botolan (2) and Subic (1).
The recoveries made Subic the latest town to be free of COVID-19, along with eight other towns. The remaining four towns have at least one COVID-19 case each.
Data also showed that the province did not record any new infections.
Since the pandemic struck in 2020, Zambales has already recorded 11,657 COVID-19 cases with 11,296 recoveries and 665 deaths related to the disease.
At least 233,864, or 36 percent of the province’s population, remained unvaccinated against the viral disease.
