COVID-19 death toll in Zambales rises to 65

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—Five more COVID-19 patients died Tuesday, bringing to 65 the total deaths from the viral disease in Zambales.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said two men aged 52 and 64 from Subic town were among the latest to succumb to the viral disease.

The three others were patients aged 60, 75, and 78.

Bueno said 34 new cases were also recorded on the same day, most of them exposed to their infected relatives.

At least 17 patients also recovered, pushing to 2,271 the number of persons who have healed.

The province now has 3,076 COVID-19 cases since last year, of which 739 are active.
