3 kids dead, 3 injured in QC blaze
MANILA, Philippines — Three children perished while three other family members were injured after fire struck a house in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City early Sunday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Fire and arson investigators identified the fatalities as Princess Sophia del Rosario, 9; Reness del Rosario, 8; and Alvin del Rosario, 4.
Meanwhile, the children’s mother, her other child and husband sustained burn and other injuries.
The couple’s four-month-old child was safely brought out of the burning house.
The fire broke out in a vacant room on the third floor of the house along Kaliraya Street.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
First alarm was raised at 4:15 a.m. It was declared under control at 4:43 a.m. and was fully extinguished by 4:47 a.m.
Damage to property was initially pegged at P50,000, said the BFP.
