CITY OF CALAPAN — A total of 169 new police recruits took their oath as members of Mimaropa police during a ceremony on Friday at Camp Efigenio C. Navarro here, according to Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan (Mimaropa) regional police office.
They were 137 men and 32 women who passed the examination and screening processes for year 2021 Cycle Patrolman/Patrolwoman Attrition Recruitment Program (unfilled quota), said the report.
They will be turned over to the Regional Training Center in Bansud, Oriental Mindoro, for the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course training for six months. Another six months will be spent on the field as part of their Field Training Program.
“You must bear in mind that this is a lifetime commitment and your decision to enter the police service must have been influenced by your desire to serve God, the country and the people, and not for any personal motive or gain,” said Brig. Gen. Sidney Sultan Hernia, Mimaropa police chief.
