Suspected robber killed in Makati shootout

MANILA, Philippines—A suspected robber was killed in a shootout with policemen in Makati city before noon Monday, police said.

Chief Inspector Jenny Tecson, spokesperson of the Southern Police District, said the still unidentified armed suspect, who was shot it out with policemen along Zamora Street, corner JP Rizal Extension, in Barangay (village) West Rembo at 11:48 a.m.

Makati police officers were patrolling the area when they spotted the alleged robber who fired at people while being chased after he had allegedly robbed a likewise unidentified person. No one was, however, hit by his firing as well as during the shootout, Tecson said.
