Bongbong Marcos picks ex-solon Anton Lagdameo as Special Assistant to the President
MANILA, Philippines — President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday said he has chosen former former Davao del Norte Rep. Anton Lagdameo Jr., as his Special Assistant to the President (SAP).
Marcos Jr. said he thinks it would be “an easy position” for Lagdameo to get since they have worked together for the past decade and the former lawmaker knows him “very well.”
“We’ve asked Cong Anton Lagdameo to fill in that position. It’s very sensitive and very important in the sense that we have known each other, since he was a child,” he said in a sit-down interview with select members of the media.
“He knows me very well. He has been with us, working with me for the past 10 years. It should be an easy position for him to pick up,” Marcos Jr. added.
