CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga — A minor female and her adult male companion were arrested in Taguig City on Wednesday (May 25) after accepting a package containing 4 kilos of shabu (crystal meth) that arrived at the Port of Clark here more than a week earlier.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region III (PDEA3) said the package came from the United States. Bureau of Customs (BoC) inspectors found the imported shabu inside the package on May 16.
An entrapment operation known as a “controlled delivery” was planned and executed by PDEA-Pampanga, PDEA Clark Inter Agency Interdiction Task Group, BoC Port of Clark, PDEA- Calabarzon, PDEA-National Capital Region, and the Taguig City police.
The entrapment operation at Barangay (village) Napindan in Taguig City on Wednesday night resulted in the arrest of the female minor consignee and her companion identified as Relaico Ailes, 27.
Undercover PDEA operatives arrested the duo after the latter accepted the package containing the illegal drugs with a street value of P27,600,000.
The suspects were brought to the PDEA-Pampanga office. They are now facing charges for importing illegal drugs in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
