President Duterte has appointed John Zurbito Lee and Eleuterio Larisma Bathan as associate justices of the Court of Appeals (CA).
Bathan will replace Associate Justice Japar Dimaampao, who was named to the Supreme Court in 2021, while Lee will take the post of Associate Justice Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga who resigned in November last year.
“We wish both Associate Justices all the best, and we are confident that they would dispense justice with fairness, impartiality and integrity,” acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said in a statement on Thursday. —NESTOR CORRALES
