SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––The Department of Agriculture (DA) recently distributed hybrid rice seeds and fertilizers to some farmers in Central Luzon.
At least five selected farmers each received a bag of hybrid rice seeds and two bags of fertilizer to help them improve their harvest, according to a report from the Philippine Information Agency in Central Luzon.
The distribution held in Pampanga was part of the celebration of the “Month of Farmers and Fishermen.”
Eduardo Lapuz Jr., DA regional technical director for operations and extension, said the agency is mandated to support farmers and fishermen, and improve their livelihood source.
