Motorcycle back-rider dead in Batangas road mishap

LUCENA CITY––A motorcycle back-rider died Tuesday in a road accident in Lipa City in Batangas province.

Lipa City police reported that a motorcycle driven by Ricky Barcil with a still unidentified male pillion rider hit a concrete electric post in Barangay Sampaguita at 1 a.m.

Both riders were thrown off the vehicle, with the head of the back rider slamming into the post. He died on the spot from grave injuries.

Barcil was taken to Mary Mediatrix Medical Center for treatment.
