MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) reopened on Tuesday the appointment schedule for transport network vehicle service (TNVS) applications.

The LTFRB, on April 30, committed to accrediting nearly 8,000 units under the Transport Network Companies to address the increasing demand for more public transport services. From this overall count, 7,000 slots were allotted for the National Capital Region, 220 for Central Luzon, 500 for the Bicol Region, and 150 for Western Visayas.

LTFRB Board Member Engr. Sherwin Begyan, however, shared that while the agency continues to accept TNVS applications, appointment scheduling was temporarily halted a week later due to the influx of appointments registered within its website.

“Napuno kasi ‘yung calendar ng appointments and we can only accommodate 200 applicants a day. That is assuming one unit per applicant ang nag-aapply,” Begyan explained over the phone..

(The calendar for appointments was immediately filled and we can only accommodate 200 applicants a day. That is assuming only one unit per applicant is being registered.)

According to LTFRB, only 200 applicants will be accommodated every day until June 17, 2022.

To secure an appointment date, applicants must register on the agency’s website — https://cpc-ltfrb.com.ph. Requirements and details for the in-person appointment date will be sent upon completing the registration.

The LTFRB also instructed previously rejected applicants due to incomplete requirements to create a new account using a new email, should they wish to pursue another TNVS application.
