MANILA, Philippines — Extreme northern Luzon will have cloudy skies and scattered rains brought about by the frontal system, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported on Tuesday.

In an early morning public forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio warned residents of Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte of possible flash floods or landslides caused by the moderate to occasional heavy rains throughout the day.

“Bukod dito, wala tayong na-momonitor na low pressure area o bagyo sa loob at sa labas ng ating Philippine Area of Responsibility, lalo na sa dagat pasipiko,” Aurelio added.

(Aside from this, we have not monitored any low pressure area or storm inside and outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, especially in the Pacific ocean.)

Pagasa also greenlighted ship motions in all areas of the country, with mild caution in Northern Luzon since the coastal waters are moderate to rough.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, which may also bring about flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
