MANILA, Philippines — The Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) group is still leading the party-list race after the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) finished including 149 certificates of canvass (COCs) on Sunday afternoon.
According to the partial tally from the Commission on Elections, which sits as the NBOC, ACT-CIS got 2,065,408 votes, corresponding to 5.827 percent of votes for party-list organizations.
Next to ACT-CIS is the 1-Rider party list with 988,435 votes, followed by the Tingog party list with 871,237 votes. Both have at least two percent of the votes — 2.788 percent and 2.458 percent.
The other party lists with at least two percent of votes, or are near the two percent margin, are the following:
- 4Ps (822,347 votes, 2.32 percent)
- Ako Bicol (812,520 votes, 2.29 percent)
- Sagip (769,485 votes, 2.170 percent)
- Ang Probinsyano (697,070 votes, 1.966 percent)
- Uswag Ilonggo (687,481 votes, 1.939 percent)
- Tutok to Win (669,218 votes, 1.888 percent)
- Cibac (628,078 votes, 1.772 percent)
Last Friday, acting Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco explained that all party-list groups getting two percent of the votes will be assured of one seat in the House of Representatives.
But as the Supreme Court ruling on the party-list issue requires all 63 party-list seats to be occupied, Laudiangco said that there would be two more rounds where seats are distributed to other party-list groups in order of percentage of votes earned.
Laudiangco also mentioned that most of the time, the party-list group with the last seat gets around 200,000 to 300,000 votes. Currently, 1-Pacman is at the 50th spot, with 259,301 votes or 0.731 percent.
This is the fourth report from the NBOC since official results were released. Earlier, the NBOC suspended its session with 159 of the 173 COCs accounted for.
