MANILA, Philippines — Actor Robin Padilla is still leading the partial and official count of the Commission of Elections (Comelec) for the 2022 senatorial race.
This was based on Comelec’s national tally sheet report number 4 released to the media on Sunday, which covers 149 out of 173 certificates of canvass (COC).
Padilla leads the senatorial race with 25,856,168 votes followed by House Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda with 23,614,960 votes.
In the ‘Magic 12’ are the following senatorial candidates:
- Robin Padilla – 25,856,168 votes
- Loren Legarda – 23,614,960 votes
- Raffy Tulfo – 22,801,648 votes
- Sherwin Gatchalian – 20,052,418 votes
- Francis Escudero – 19,784,560 votes
- Mark Villar – 18,927,520 votes
- Alan Peter Cayetano – 18,743,575 votes
- Juan Miguel Zubiri – 18,153,807 votes
- Joel Villanueva – 18,058,632 votes
- JV Ejercito – 15,428,651 votes
- Risa Hontiveros – 15,016,708 votes
- Jinggoy Estrada – 14,693,932 votes
Just outside the Magic 12 are former Vice President Jojo Binay (12,972,443 votes), former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista (12,737,831 votes), and former Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro (12,354,764 votes).
As of Saturday, May 14, the Comelec, which is sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, has canvassed 149 COCs.
