Bacolod City drug dealer gets life sentence
BACOLOD CITY — A resident of this city was sentenced to life imprisonment on Friday, May 13, for selling shabu (crystal meth) to a police intelligence officer for P300.
Executive Judge Raymond Joseph Javier of the Regional Trial Court Branch 52 in Bacolod found Jason Buyco Dalisay guilty beyond reasonable doubt for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.
Aside from life imprisonment, Dalisay was also ordered by the court to pay a fine of P500,000.
He was also sentenced to 12 years and eight months as minimum imprisonment to 17 years and eight months as maximum imprisonment for possession of .285 grams of shabu. He was also ordered to pay another fine of P300,000.
Dalisay was arrested in a buy-bust after he sold .094 grams of shabu to PO3 Ramie Pabilona at his house in Purok Celita, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City, on Dec. 2, 2019.
During his arrest, .285 grams of shabu were recovered from his possession.
“Dalisay’s defense of a frame-up must bow down to the candid and positive testimonies of the government witnesses,” the judge said.
Judge Javier ordered the turnover of the confiscated shabu to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the immediate transfer of Dalisay to the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
