CITY OF MALOLOS — Three towns in Bulacan voted for all local candidates running under the same ticket, marking historic wins for the elected mayors, vice mayors, and councilors.
Pandi Mayor Enrico Roque was reelected, along with his running mate, Vice Mayor Lui Sebastian; five reelected incumbent and three new councilors.
In Plaridel town, former Mayor Jocell Vistan-Casaje did not only win against incumbent Vice Mayor Mhel de Leon in the mayoral race but also made a clean sweep, with his vice mayoral running mate, Lorie Vinta, and all their eight councilor bets. Vistan-Casaje succeeded her mother, incumbent Mayor Anastacia Vistan.
Winners
In Guiguinto town, lawyer Agatha Cruz and her entire slate also emerged as winners.
Cruz succeeded her father, outgoing Mayor Ambrosio Cruz Jr. who was elected as the first congressman of the newly created fifth district of Bulacan. —CARMELA REYES-ESTROPE
