The political family’s patriarch, First District Rep. Jeffrey Khonghun, won as mayor of Castillejos town, defeating former mayor Jose Angelo Dominguez and former vice governor Angel Magsaysay.

Khonghun’s children—Subic Mayor Jonathan “Jon” Khonghun, Vice Gov. Jefferson “Jay” Khonghun, and Jacqueline Rose Ferrer Khonghun—were also elected.

Jon won in his bid for another term, while Jay was elected as the first district congressman. Neophyte Jacqueline won as vice governor.
