ILOILO CITY, Iloilo, Philippines — Top reelectionist officials in Aklan province were proclaimed winners on Tuesday, May 10.
Vice Gov. Reynaldo “Boy” Quimpo and Representatives Carlito Marquez (1st District) and Teodorico Haresco Jr. (2nd District) won by large margins.
Provincial board member Jose Enrique Miraflores was also proclaimed winner in the gubernatorial race and will replace his father, Gov. Florencio Miraflores, who is serving his third and last term.
Jose Enrique got 196,897 votes against former Kalibo town mayor William Lachica who garnered 112,053.
