Rep. Marilou Arroyo concedes to rival in NegOr congressional race

BACOLOD CITY— Rep. Marilou Arroyo on Tuesday, May 10, conceded to former Negros Occidental vice governor Dino Yulo for the fifth congressional district seat.
“I have been blessed as only a few people ever have to represent the people of the 5th district. God knows I tried my best to serve you the best way I can. The people have clearly spoken. Let us respect the will of the people,” she said.
Arroyo was defeated by lawyer Dino Yulo.
“Thank you to all those who supported me especially my family, my staff, my political leaders and to those who stayed loyal until the very end,” she said.
