Actor Ejay Falcon leads vice gubernatorial race in Oriental Mindoro

CITY OF CALAPAN — Actor Ejay Falcon is leading in the vice gubernatorial race in Oriental Mindoro, according to unofficial results from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) presented via the “Eleksyon 2022: The GMA News and Public Affairs Coverage,” as of 12:27 p.m. of Tuesday.

Falcon has 226,875 votes while incumbent Vice Governor Jojo Perez has 185,663 votes.

The 32-year-old actor hails from Pola town and became popular in 2008 when he was the big winner of the “Pinoy Big Brother” teen edition that aired on ABS-CBN.

During their candidates’ debate hosted by Divine Word College of Calapan, Perez said he had done Falcon good in the past when Perez was a city official and supported Falcon’s stint on the reality show.
