Wanted person nabbed while securing police clearance in Marinduque
CITY OF CALAPAN––A woman with a pending warrant of arrest was arrested on Thursday, May 5, at the police station in Gasan town in Marinduque province, according to a report from the Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Pawalan (Mimaropa) police.
Fe Medilla, 57, was securing a National Police Clearance (NPC) when police found that she had a pending warrant of arrest for qualified theft dated May 8, 2013, and issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 46 in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro province.
Medilla, who hails from Buenavista town, is now in police custody.
The NPC system, whic was launched in 2018, is a centralized database containing all records and cases from different towns and cities in the country.
Since January of 2021, Mimaropa police have intercepted six individuals with pending arrests who applied for the National Police Clearance. INQ
