13 hurt as truck hits mountain slope in Bontoc

ROXAS, Isabela — Thirteen people were injured after an Elf truck carrying them fell on its side while traversing the Bontoc-Malibcong road in Bontoc town, Mountain Province, on Tuesday morning, police said.

Rescuers said three of the victims were admitted to a hospital due to severe injuries, while the others were sent home after they were treated for minor wounds.

Initial investigation showed that the victims were on their way to Maligcong village in Bontoc for a political campaign when they figured in the accident.
