Comelec bares airdates of presidential, VP panel interviews
MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Sunday bared the airdates of the presidential and vice presidential panel interviews.
This came after Comelec scratched its initial plan to hold another town hall debate for the presidential and vice presidential candidates and opted to hold a panel interview instead.
All candidates are entitled to a one-hour panel interview, all of which will be pre-taped and will air from May 3 to 6.
The following schedule was released by the Comelec along with the network the interview will be aired:
May 3, 10:00 a.m. – Norberto Gonzales, Bombo Radyo

May 4, 11:00 a.m. – Sen. Vicente Tito Sotto, Bombo Radyo
May 5, 10:00 a.m. – Manny Lopez, CNN
May 5, 11:00 a.m. – Ernesto Abella, TV5
May 6, 10:00 a.m. – Jose Montemayor Jr. and Rizalito David, MBC
May 6, 11:00 a.m. – Manny Pacquiao, CNN
Other major candidates who were slated to attend the presidential debates, Vice President Leni Robredo, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, and Senator Panfilo Lacson, were not able to join the interviews due to schedule conflicts.
Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. also did not participate in the interviews and instead chose to end his election campaign with town hall meetings.
