Angat Pinoy party list #71 holds grand rallies, bares platforms on 6 areas
MANILA, Philippines — As the national elections enter the homestretch, multi-sectoral partylist Angat Pinoy (#71) recently held several grand rallies in Quezon City, San Juan City and Cagayan de Oro to present its plans to help protect the welfare of women, OFWs, senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), the youth, and micro-small-to-medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Angat Pinoy chairman emeritus Anthony del Rosario reiterates that they will support UniTeam’s presidential and vice presidential candidates, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, respectively, who continue to lead the latest voter preference surveys.
The Marcos- Duterte-Carpio tandem topped the December 2021 survey of Pulse Asia.
Some 53 percent of the respondents in the Pulse Asia poll conducted December 1-6 picked Marcos as their presidential bet while 20 percent chose Vice President Leni Robredo. Both Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Senator Manny Pacquiao received 8 percent of the respondents’ approval while Senator Panfilo Lacson garnered 6 percent.
For vice president, Duterte-Carpio got 45 percent while Senate President Vicente Sotto III had 31 percent. Trailing them were Senator Francis Pangilinan with 12 percent, Dr. Willing Ong with six percent, and House Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza with one percent.

About 99.5% of the country’s business sector is dominated by SMEs. Of this, about 88% are micro business enterprises, which generate about 65% employment in the country, Del Rosario said,
By extending help to MSMEs, there will be ripple effect, Del Rosario explained, adding that once employees of these enterprises start earning, they will have the purchasing power to spend on goods and local products that will in turn help jumpstart the economy.
Aside from MSMEs, Angat Pinoy is also focused on protecting the welfare of women, especially single parents, the elderly, PWDs, as well as Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), particularly those who lost their overseas jobs and returned home and looking for employment, and assisting the nation’s youth groups thread their career paths.
