UV faces SHS-AdC for 16-under title

A RIVALRY that started in the juniors division of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. will be rekindled today as the University of the Visayas takes on the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles in the 16-under division of the 2012 ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup at the City Sports Club Cebu basketball court at the Cebu Business Park.

UV outlasted SHS-AdC in a thrilling five-game series in the finals last season, 3-2, to capture the crown. Now, the recently-crowned NBTC National High School Championships titlists, get the chance at some semblance of payback when they face off against their old nemesis today at 8 a.m.

In other title games, the University of San Carlos-South B faces off against Forum in the 13-under division B finals while Don Bosco B takes on UV-B for the title in the 16-under division B. These games will be played at the SHS-AdC basketball courts along Mango Avenue.

In the 19-under division, USC battles Adgers, UV faces the Forum while the University of San Jose-Recoletos dukes it out with the CVIRAA selection. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
