2 drug suspects yield P938K shabu in Rizal

LUCENA CITY – Anti-narcotics agents arrested two drug suspects early Saturday and seized more than P938,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Binangonan town in Rizal province.

Police Colonel Dominic Baccay, Rizal police chief, reported that police collared Ronnel Membrebe, a village ambulance driver, and Danilo Cado at around 3:20 a.m. after they allegedly sold a pack of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Darangan.

The suspects yielded 138 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P938,400. The police classified the suspects as SLI (street-level individuals) on its drug watchlist.

The suspects were detained and faced charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
