MANILA, Philippines — Ten major political parties will have access to the transparency server, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Marlon Casquejo said Thursday.
Casquejo said that the inclusion of the 10 major parties was approved by the Comelec en banc on Wednesday.
“According to the automation law na nakasaad du’n (it stated), in the access of the transparency server, we have the [Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas], we have the dominant majority party, and dominant minority party, and a citizen’s arm which is PPCRV (Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting),” Casquejo said in a press briefing.
“But for full transparency, we include the 10 major political parties which was approved yesterday by the en banc… They will have access to our transparency server,” he added.
The 12 major political parties are:
- Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan
- National Union’s Party
- Aksyon Demokratiko
- Partido Federal ng Pilipinas
- Nacionalista Party
- Liberal Party
- United Nationalist Alliance
- Lakas – Christian Muslim Democrats
- Nationalist People’s Coalition
- Partido Para sa Demokratikong Reporma
- Akbayan Citizens’ Action Party
- Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino
Two parties will be declared as the dominant majority and minority parties while the remaining 10 parties will likewise have access to the transparency server.
“When we say access to transparency server, the receiving raw data, CSP file coming from each precinct, kapag may nata-transmit, so makakatanggap din ‘yung ating political parties (when something is transmitted, the political parties will receive it),” Casquejo explained.
The transparency server receives results from vote counting machines from different precincts.
