MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines has now recognized the national COVID-19 vaccination certificate of the Holy See in the Vatican.
The development came after the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases approved the Vatican’s proof of vaccination.
“Inaprubahan ng Inter-Agency Task Force ang national vaccination certificate na in-issue ng Holy See para sa arrival quarantine protocols at inter-zonal/intrazonal movement,” acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar announced in Wednesday’s Palace press briefing.

The Bureau of Quarantine, Department of Transportation – One Stop Shop, and the Bureau of Immigration are ordered to acknowledge the Holy See’s vaccination certificate.
According to the IATF Secretariat, there are 77 countries, territories, and jurisdictions with approved national vaccination certificates to date.
