Campaign sortie of Robredo in Talisay City, Cebu canceled
CEBU CITY — A campaign sortie for presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo in Talisay City, Cebu was canceled on Tuesday, April 26.
In a statement, Cebu Vice Gov. Hilario Davide III said the Partido Pilipino sa Pagbabago (PPP) of his partner, gubernatorial aspirant Ace Durano, has decided to support another presidential candidate.
“It is obvious that he (Durano) is bound to follow the organization’s endorsement,” Davide said.
The PPP, of which Durano is a member, earlier announced that they are supporting the presidential bid of Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Davide, on the other hand, is endorsing Robredo.

“From the start, our goal was not really on forging political alliances but more on who will support our cause particularly the Cebu Priority Development Agenda, which was crafted by ordinary Cebuanos and 300 sectoral leaders,” he added.
Davide said they were grateful to Robredo for believing and supporting their Cebu Priority Development Agenda during her visit to Cebu last April 21.
“We have gone this far. Ace and I will finish the race with the same vigor, enthusiasm and respect as the interest of the Cebuanos is more paramount over our personal choices,” he said.
