Easterlies, ITCZ to bring rains in parts of Visayas, Mindanao; fair weather in Luzon
MANILA, Philippines — Luzon island will experience fair weather conditions while parts of Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with rainshowers due to easterlies and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said Tuesday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said fair weather conditions are seen over Luzon with isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms.
Pagasa said temperature could reach as high as 36 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao; 34 degrees in Metro Manila; 33 degrees in Puerto Princesa; 32 degrees in Laoag; and 31 degrees in Legazpi and Tagaytay.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers are expected in Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Oriental due to easterlies and the ITCZ, according to Pagasa.
Further, the state weather bureau said the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, meanwhile, will have fair weather conditions with isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms.
Temperature could reach 33 degrees in Iloilo; 32 degrees in Cebu; 31 degrees in Tacloban; 33 degrees in Davao and Zamboanga; and 31 degrees in Cagayan de Oro.
