MANILA, Philippines — The government will turn over 400 housing units for internally displaced persons in Marawi City next month, Task Force Bangon Marawi chair and Housing Secretary Eduardo del Rosario said on Sunday.

The transfer of the housing units from the National Housing Authority, the Social Housing Finance Corp. and UN Habitat, will be held on Marawi Week of Peace, the fifth anniversary of the 2017 siege, a five-month battle between soldiers and pro-Islamic State militants.

The government will also launch other projects, which include the Sarimanok Stadium, Convention Center, Grand Padian Market, Promenade, the Peace Park, the Marawi Museum and the School of Living Traditions—all located at Marawi’s most affected area.

“These facilities will make Marawi one of the best tourism sites in the whole of Mindanao,” Del Rosario said in a statement.
